Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Coordinator for a 3 month contract (possible extension based on business need) to support cross-border and domestic transportation operations. This role is critical in ensuring timely customs clearance, accurate documentation management, and overall compliance with transportation and customs regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customs clearance processes, strong administrative capabilities, and the flexibility to support dispatch functions during holidays as needed.

the shift schedule for this role is 4x4 5am-5pm or 8am-8pm Key Responsibilities:
- Proof of Delivery (POD) Reconciliation: Monitor, track, and reconcile PODs for all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Customs Coordination: Act as the main customs clerk, managing all customs and broker clearance requirements for the fleet.
- ACE/ACI Transmission: Create and transmit electronic ACE/ACI entries using Border Connect or similar systems.
- Documentation Handling:
- Send customs documents to assigned brokers for clearance.
- Manage the opening and closing of T&E Bonds.
- Ensure compliance with all cross-border transportation regulations.
- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or customs-related roles
- Familiarity with ACE/ACI processes and use of Border Connect (or willingness to learn)
- Understanding of Canadian and U.S. customs procedures and T&E Bond processes
- Strong attention to detail and document accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Previous experience as a Customs Clerk, Transportation Coordinator, or similar role
- Experience supporting dispatch teams or transportation operations
- Knowledge of customs broker communications and logistics documentation standards
- Pay rate $23/hour + vacation pay
- Full time contract with opportunity of permanent conversion for the right candidate
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
