Job Overview
Our team supports over 40 hospitals, homecare, public health and continuing care centers in the Calgary Zone by providing warehousing, receiving, shipping, supply cart management, replenishment and dock operations. As a Stores I - Warehouse, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care by receiving incoming shipments and distributing goods. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations, replenish supply locations, prepare outgoing goods for shipments and maintain both manual and electronic records of transactions.
You will keep a clean, safe and organized work environment, communicate with customers and other departments and follow quality service standards and comply with procedures and policies.
- Perform picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards.
- Process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies.
- Complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available.
- Track and report on inventory to prevent over stocking.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment and communicate with customers and other departments.
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs.
- Capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time.
- Regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.
Required Qualifications

- Proven track record of reliable attendance.
- Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Minimum one (1) year related experience in a warehouse environment.
- Material handling equipment certification.
- Knowledge of Oracle.
- Knowledge of health care supplies and equipment.
