. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional eager to expand their expertise in financial accounting, tax, and compliance.

As an Assistant Financial Accountant
, you will join a dedicated Financial Accounting & Tax team, focusing on control and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with the month-end timetable and ledger closures across accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Reconciling and forecasting intercompany balances.
• Managing and maintaining fixed asset registers, including creation, disposal, depreciation, and annual verification.
• Preparing GRNI and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Assisting with financial accounting, tax tasks, and supporting wider improvement initiatives.

• Progress towards or completion of an AAT qualification
• Experience working in a finance team.
• Proficiency in Excel, with ERP system knowledge being a plus.
• A proactive attitude and an ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
