HVAC Project Manager

A well-established and growing HVAC contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of large-scale mechanical and HVAC projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Manager to take ownership of high-value projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of HVAC projects valued up to £1m.

Your role will include:

Managing projects from initial site surveys and design coordination through to commissioning, handover, and O&M delivery

Full responsibility for programme, budget, quality, and profitability (P&L)

Managing PAYE engineers and approved sub-contractors on site

Overseeing health & safety compliance, toolbox talks, audits, and reporting

Managing variations, valuations, applications, and commercial controls

Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using MS Project

Monitoring risk, managing scope changes, and maintaining a full audit trail

Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

Proven experience managing HVAC / mechanical projects including AHUs, VRV/VRF, ductwork, plumbing, chilled water systems, and chillers

Strong commercial and contractual awareness (variations, applications, LADs, retention, defects, specifications)

A minimum of 5 years' experience running projects and managing site teams

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-focused approach

Location & Working Pattern:

The role will be a mix of office-based and site-based work (approximately 50/50)

Office and project coverage based along the M3 corridor, with Surrey or nearby locations strongly preferred

Salary & Package:

Up to £60,000, depending on experience, plus package
