We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership and communication abilities to guide their team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while providing unparalleled service.
Responsibilities- Support the Store Manager in running all store operations to meet or exceed sales & KPI targets.
- Set clear sales goals, track performance, and evolve processes for continuous store growth.
- Create a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and continuous development.
- Analyze sales data and financial reports to make quick, well‑informed decisions alongside the Store Manager.
- Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
- Help manage day‑to‑day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Support cash management tasks such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
- Support the Store Manager in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure coverage and productivity.
- Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target, including units, conversion, ATV, UPT and upselling targets.
- Maintain a high Net Promoter Score and ensure stock accuracy during audits.
- Keep operational costs within the allocated budget.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast‑paced retail/customer‑facing environment.
- Passion for retail and knowledge of the latest trends and competitors.
- Experience coaching and developing individuals.
- Strong communication skills and proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience analysing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
- Keen eye for detail, commerciality, and visual merchandising (advantageous).
- Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
