Accounts Technician

Location: Cambridgeshire

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Technician to join their Probate, Trust and Estate team within a well-established and highly regarded practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and technically strong professional to develop specialist expertise in a niche and rewarding area of accountancy.

The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of probate, trust, and estate matters, working closely with experienced professionals and clients. As the Accounts Technician you will be:

* Preparing draft grants of probate applications

* Capturing estate data using specialist software to generate forms and computations

* Drafting estate accounts with accuracy and clarity

* Providing support to non-probate staff as needed

* Prepare self-assessment tax returns

* Submitting forms for trusts

* Registering trusts and estates

* Monitoring trust anniversaries and ensure timely reporting

* Engage directly with probate, estate, and trust clients

* Build and maintain strong client relationships via phone, email, and meetings

* Draft client bills promptly and accurately

* Assist Partners, Associates, and Managers with ad hoc tasks

* Perform general administrative duties as required

As the Accounts Technician, you will have:

* Detail-oriented and proactive approach

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience in probate or tax services is beneficial but not essential
