Key Responsibilities & ImpactAs a Production Apprentice you will work across a variety of content, often covering early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Live radio programme recording and editing
- Meeting contributors
- Producing video for social media and regional TV output
- Crafting audio for BBC Sounds
You will also attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, combining in‑person and virtual delivery.
Your Skills and EligibilityWe look for potential and enthusiasm rather than formal qualifications. You should have good communication skills, enjoy teamwork, and thrive on variety.
Non‑graduates are invited to apply. If you already hold a degree, consider other BBC roles or apprenticeship schemes.
Eligibility Criteria- Age 18 or over by the start of the apprenticeship in September 2026
- Have lived continuously in the UK for the last 3 years prior to the start date
- Legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration
- Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship
- No prior learning required to apply
Persons under 19 at 8 September 2026 must have achieved GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or equivalent.
