YourKey Responsibilities and Impact
As a Production Apprentice, you will work across diverse content, often including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
You could be working on:
- Live radio programmes – recording and editing audio
- Meeting contributors
- Producing video for our social media content and regional TV output
- Crafting audio for BBC Sounds
You’ll also attend learning blocks, up to a week at a time, with our learning provider to work toward an industry‑recognised Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

This scheme is aimed at non‑graduates. If you have a degree and are interested in similar roles, consider other BBC apprenticeship schemes or jobs.
Eligibility CriteriaTo be eligible you must:
- Be 18 or over by the start of the apprenticeship in September 2026
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years before the start
- Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
- Not be enrolled in another apprenticeship program
- No prior learning is required to apply
Applicants under 19 years on 8th September 2026 must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or equivalent functional skills level before the apprenticeship. If not, they will need to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 by the end of the apprenticeship.
