We’re working with a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary Design & Build consultancy based in Chichester that delivers intelligent, sustainable electrical design solutions across commercial, industrial, and defence projects.
As their project portfolio continues to grow, they’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take a leading role in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems from concept through to completion.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong Electrical experience within building services experience who enjoys technical design, project collaboration, and hands-on problem-solving within a team that values innovation and precision.
Key

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Design and delivery of electrical building services projects across multiple sectors
 
* Manage engineering teams to:
 
* Develop detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications in line with BS7671 and other relevant standards
 
* Carry out load calculations, lighting design, and cable sizing using software such as Amtech, Relux, or Dialux
 
* Produce design documentation and coordinate drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
 
* Collaborate with mechanical and public health teams to deliver fully integrated building services solutions
 
* Liaise directly with clients, contractors and internal multi-disciplinary teams to interpret requirements and provide practical design advice
 
* Conduct site surveys, attend design workshops, and support installations through to commissioning
 
* Contribute to design reviews, value engineering exercises, and project risk assessments
 
* Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their technical growth and professional development
 
* Maintain compliance with all building regulations, health and safety legislation, and sustainability targets
 
* Manage projects through to completion, including meeting commercial targets and client programme expectations.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proven experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a consultancy or design-build environment
 
* Strong understanding of electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, power, and life safety systems
 
* Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, and Relux/Dialux – Desirable
 
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with confidence in client-facing situations
 
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines with attention to detail
 
* Ability to meet project commercial targets
 
* Proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
 
* HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
 
* CIBSE membership or progression toward chartership beneficial
 
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional site visits
