Salary: £43,000 per annum plus an annual standby of £3,188 (subject to completing probation and a rota of one week in three) plus overtime

Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm

The role involves working with a wide range of rice milling and packing equipment to conduct preventative maintenance, first‑level reactive service and repair work, diagnosing and resolving issues, and updating documentation.

• Deliver periodic and condition‑based preventative maintenance for all electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Conduct first‑level reactive service and repair work, diagnosing issues promptly and efficiently.
• Fabricate spare parts for equipment using lathe, mill and welding activities.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to provide engineering expertise in the design and delivery of improvements related to continuous improvement of electro‑mechanical equipment, utilizing third‑party support where necessary.
• Maintain procedure and maintenance records using CMMS system, as required.
• Liaise with on‑site contractors.
• Maintain relevant professional competence, undertaking training and development both on and off site.

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering (ideally encompassing Electrical & Mechanical disciplines)
• Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills (Mechanical & Electrical)
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
• Good fabrication skills
• Computer literacy across MS Office applications
• Competent to work at height and in confined spaces
• Familiar with motion control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Understanding of PLC programming logic (Desirable)
• Experience with milling equipment (Desirable)
