Roadside Technician

Qualifications

A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with proven technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience. Must have a customer‑focused approach and a full UK driving licence.

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault‑finding, you will provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.

You will start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside by combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service.

You will be equipped and ready for every call‑out, with tools, tech, and support to get the job done. You will think on your feet, make the right call for each customer, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to a variety of fixes, faces and challenges each day.

Location:

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire – Salary: £40k (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance) with OTE of £60k. Full‑time role. Posted by RAC on Saturday, 27 December 2025.
