We are seeking an experienced and motivated Early Years Manager to lead a high-quality early years setting in Cambridge. This term-time only position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding early education and maintaining strong standards of care, safeguarding and inclusion.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and development of the setting, ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and achieving positive inspection outcomes. You will lead a dedicated team, manage resources effectively and work in partnership with families and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire staff to deliver high-quality early education and care
* Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety and statutory requirements
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the setting
* Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, supervision and performance management
* Develop and implement the setting’s development and improvement plans
* Build positive relationships with parents, carers and the local community
* Manage budgets, funding claims, occupancy and financial performance
* Promote inclusive practice, equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory approaches
* Ensure children’s individual needs, including SEND, are identified and supported
* Maintain accurate records and reporting in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
* Meets EYFS 2024 Maths requirement (Level 2 Maths or willingness to achieve within 2 years)
* Substantial post-qualification experience in early years education and childcare
* Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development, safeguarding and current legislation
* Paediatric First Aid qualification
* Experience of leading and managing staff teams
* Experience of managing budgets and financial processes
* Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
