Production Chemist

Role Overview

Our Duxford site is part of Huntsman’s Advanced Materials division, focused on delivering high-performance solutions for global industries. We are hiring a Production Chemist to strengthen our production team and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Act as a technical expert for production operations and KPI delivery.
• Support and lead continuous improvement projects using LEAN tools (VSM, SMED, Kaizen).
• Review and update process instructions, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Lead investigations into safety and quality issues; ensure CAPA implementation.
• Drive cost‑saving programs and deliver technical training for operators.
• Manage production data, analyze trends, and report KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Quality and other departments to resolve technical issues.

• PhD, MSc, or BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years in production or process development (preferably in a multinational industrial environment).
• Knowledge of organic, polymeric, and epoxy chemistry.
• Understanding of chemical engineering and production processes.
• Proficiency in analytical methodology and statistical principles.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
• Experience with LEAN tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Independent, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
• Project management and stakeholder engagement.
