Cafe Barista

We have an exciting opportunity for a Barista, who is enthusiastic about quality food and drink and great customer service to join one of our Tesco Café teams. Whether it’s a quick pit‑stop after the weekly shop or a long overdue catch‑up with a friend, you’ll ensure our customers enjoy delicious coffee, tea and seasonal drinks that make every day a little better.

You’ll bring your skill as a Barista (or as someone who’s worked in hospitality) to the team, share knowledge and expertise with those around you, and work with the Café Manager to support team development. Familiarity with all menu items, regular stock reviews, and quick, efficient service are key.

• Serve a range of drinks to customers quickly and efficiently.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to meet required standards.
• Regularly review stock levels and follow all policies and procedures.
• Work with the Café Manager to identify and support team members looking to develop as Baristas.
• Keep up to date with all communications from Tesco, including new offers, initiatives and menu changes.
• Resolve customer complaints where possible.

• Experience of working as a Barista, or in a hospitality environment.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Confidence to coach and train others in an inclusive manner.

• Good planning and organisation skills.
• Confidence using initiative to identify opportunities to improve working methods or adapt to different situations.
• Excellent communication skills to support colleagues and the Café Manager.
