Emergency Medicine Specialty

The North Island department of Emergency Medicine in Campbell River is currently looking to hire a part-time and or full-time Emergency Medicine Physician. North Island Hospital Campbell River and District is the regional center for North Vancouver Island, serving an immediate population of close to 40, and a regional population of over 50,. The ER has about 25, visits per year (70 visits per day).

Local specialties include: ICU, general surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, plastic surgery, ENT.

Applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

Affiliation with the University of British Columbia’s Island Medical Program provides teaching opportunities to medical students and residents.

Benefits

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):

• Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10, (pro-rated based on FTE)
• Relocation: up to a maximum of $15, (amount based on location relocating from)
• Flat fee: $9,.76
• Fee Premium: 6.09%
• CME: $2,/annum year 3-4 and $4,/annum after 4 years in the community.
