Your new role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting temporary and permanent works design activities across major construction projects. You will collaborate closely with field teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, andpliant execution of all structuralponents. Your responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the field team to understand project needs and prepare concept and detailed designs for all required temporary structures.

Collaborating with external engineers and internal project teams to develop detailed technical drawings and schematics.

Reviewing subcontractor shop drawings and weld procedures prior to submission to the owner.

Conducting material take‑offs and generating bills of materials.

Supporting quality checks through fabrication and construction to identify discrepancies or errors.

Providing engineering support across fabrication processes for both temporary and permanent steel structures.

Preparing and delivering status and progress reports to clients, project teams, and management.

Interfacing with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, and other contractors.

Ensuring all work adheres to QA programs and project quality requirements.

Performing additional related duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed

Education & Experience

Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalentbination of technical training and experience.

Registration as a P.Eng in British Columbia with EGBC.

Minimum 3–5 years of structural engineering experience, ideally on large infrastructure projects.

Experience with hydroelectric dam projects is considered an asset.

Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
