Job Summary
Brandon is Manitoba’s second largest city (population 55,000) and the main hub for southwestern Manitoba, serving a catchment area of approximately 200,000 people. The Brandon Regional Health Centre is a fully accredited multi-specialty facility with 300+ bed capacity and is currently undergoing a $110 million expansion of inpatient care facilities, expected to be completed by 2026.
We operate three endoscopy rooms with a fleet of 45 scopes and offer a high level of service to the region. On-site diagnostic services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine. Additional specialist services available on-site include pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, anesthesia, general surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine, oncology, orthopedic surgery, urology and internal medicine.
Brandon Regional Health Centre is a satellite campus for the University of Manitoba and the Rady Faculty of Medicine, providing opportunities to contribute to teaching and mentoring of medical learners.
The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in interventional gastroenterology and be able to perform minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders, including EMR, ERCP and other advanced therapeutic procedures. Additional training and fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy preferred. Management of inflammatory bowel disease is desired. Qualified PRA candidates are encouraged to apply if eligible.
Remuneration / Hours
Remuneration is derived from fee-for-service billing as per the Manitoba physicians’ manual negotiated in the Master Agreement between the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living and Doctors Manitoba, and will depend on the volume of services provided.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine degree with specialization in endoscopy.
Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba.
Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Manitoba.
Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association mandatory.
Advanced endoscopy training preferred.

Credentials
Doctor of Medicine degree with Specialist Certification in Gastroenterology.

Member of CMPA or proof of equivalent malpractice insurance required.
