Job Description

The operates as a primary healthcare practice where the physician provides services for approximately 2,000 people within the community plus surrounding area. There is currently 1 primary health care family physician and 1 part time fee for service family physician practicing in Carrot River.

Job Duties:

Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures, Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, Provide pre-natal and post-natal care, Advise patients on health care, Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, Communicate health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention to patients, Perform patient advocacy role, Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues, Provide emergency care, Participate on institutional committees.

Carrot River Medical Clinic: 26 Main Street Carrot River, SK S0E 0L0
Nipawin Hospital: 800 6th Street East Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0 (Emergency Room)
Arborfield Special Care Lodge: 5th Avenue (Box 160) Arborfield, SK S0E 0A0 (Satellite Clinic 1/month).
