Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Technician

Location: Central Nunavut (Cambridge Bay)

Support outpatient rehabilitation with patient care assistance and clinical preparation k directly under licensed physical and occupational therapists.
This Rehabilitation Technician supports licensed physical and occupational therapists with medical and clinical duties. Responsibilities include pre- and post-treatment preparation, patient care activities, inventory management, record keeping, database management, reception, and clerical work. The position requires confidentiality and completion of department competency criteria. Work occurs in a busy clinic, with duties involving safe mobility, guarding, exercise, and patient transfers or positioning.

Routine assignments are carried out independently under established policies and procedures, with periodic review of service efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and clean clinical treatment areas around patient care
Assist therapists with patient mobility, exercises, transfers, and positioning
Maintain inventory, ordering, records, and database information
Perform reception and clerical duties in the clinic
Maintain patient confidentiality and complete required competencies
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
One year of hospital or rehabilitation clinical experience
Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in stressful situations
Ability to lift, push, and pull required weights
Apply rehabilitation support, clinical organization, and patient safety skills while assisting therapists and maintaining efficient outpatient services.
