Health Care Aide Long Term Care

Location: Northwestern Alberta (High Level)

Support daily living, safety, and wellbeing as a Health Care Aide at Fairview Health Complex in a regular part time position. Work collaboratively across long term care.
As a Health Care Aide, you will provide personal assistance and support services to patients, clients, and residents. You will follow care plans and facility procedures while working with families, caregivers, nurses, and health professionals. Your work supports hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Support patients with activities of daily living
Assist nurses with routine personal care
Support hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
Observe and report patients’ mood, health, and wellbeing
Maintain safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
Active or eligible Health Care Aide registration with CLHA
Proof of education or Health Care Aide Certificate
Complete certification within 18 months of hire
Satisfactory criminal record check or Vulnerable Sector Search
Work under regulated health professional supervision
Bring personal assistance, routine care, and patient communication skills to Health Care Aide work at Fairview Health Complex.
