Health Care Aide Resident Care

Location: Port Morien

Provide safe resident care as a Health Care Aide, using transfer equipment, personal protective controls, and attentive daily support.
At Age Care, Health Care Aides work within a care team under Staff Nurse supervision. You will apply established knowledge, skills, and competencies while supporting residents' individual needs. The work includes personal care, mobility assistance, meals, routine treatments, and participation in facility activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Bath, shower, and wash residents using water temperature procedures
Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and belts
Feed residents according to care plans and diets
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompany residents to meals, therapy, and social activities
Requirements:
Recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
Active College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides registration
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year of continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Support Age Care residents through personal care, safe transfers, meal assistance, treatments, and meaningful facility participation.
