This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance and daily operations of all Golden Skybridge attractions, from inspecting suspension bridges to maintaining the track on the mountain coaster. With Safety First as Pursuits' top priority, this role requires a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards to ensure the well-being of all guests. Senior Operations Technicians are expected to have a technical expertise in excess of that of the Operations Technician, requiring minimal technical assistance and supervision to conduct the majority of technical tasks at the Golden Skybridge.
Maintain Golden Skybridge's main attractions, ensuring the Preventative Maintenance program is followed
Assign work to, lead and work alongside other Operations Technicians
Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs as needed.
Respond to assigned issues in a timely manner in accordance with the service support priority & assignment levels
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
Test repaired equipment for correct performance
Service & maintain cleanliness of tools and attachments
Identify & manage risks, communicating these to management as required
Conduct scheduled inspections of attractions to manufacturer and other appropriate bodies standards (e.g. TSBC, ACCT, NFPA, ANSI, CSA)
Lead seasonal professional development training as needed or requested by Operations Manager.
Maintain organized work and storage locations, including accurate record keeping of equipment & parts inventory.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance actions and other administrative tasks.
Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease downtime and improve processes.
Abide by all applicable laws and company requirements, including reporting of incidents and using appropriate PPE in accordance with various bodies such as WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC
Reports directly to the Operations Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent attention to detail
Technical expertise of zipline and challenge course equipment, course infrastructure, mechanics & principals of gravity powered rides and mechanized ride components
Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
Strong physical stamina and conditioning with the ability to lift, pull & push heavy objects, tools & equipment
Ability to work at great heights whilst conducting inspections and maintenance, IRATA or SPRAT certification required
Able to work outside in all conditions experienced in Golden, BC
Able to be on feet all day and cross unimproved mountainous terrain to access various locations
Able to lift 90 lbs. (with assistance) and work outside in all weather conditions.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and Holidays
Considered an asset
Level 1 ACCT certification or ability to become certified.
Petzl certified competent PPE inspector.
Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance
Experience with varied hand & power tools
Experience of alpine coaster maintenance
Experience of zipline & challenge course equipment maintenance
Experience using CMMS to respond and log work
This salary for the role is:$24.00
