Job summary

If so, our A-Team is the perfect place for you!Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Work, the Technician, Plant Work is responsible for carrying out daily activities related to all elements of the plant work cycle including transplanting, harvesting, and trimming flowers at the Aurora Pemberton facility.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
• Planting, pruning, trellising, defoliation and harvesting of all production lots within grow rooms.
• Sanitation of grow and trim rooms between production lots.
• Regularly inspect plants for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies and report findings to the Supervisor, Plant Work. Implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of plant growth stages, environmental conditions, and any treatments applied to the plants.
• Support propagation by assisting with the cloning, transplanting, and early-stage plant care to ensure healthy plant development.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure plants receive adequate water and nutrients.
• Trim, manicure, and prepare cannabis flowers for packaging, following industry standards for quality and consistency.
• Organize plant supplies and tools.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while maintain compliance with local cannabis regulations and industry standards.
• Work closely with other departments such as quality assurance (QA), propagation, and post-harvest to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
• Previous experience in an agricultural or horticultural setting an asset
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting an asset
Working Conditions:
• Temperatures range from 18 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
• Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 55 lbs.
• This position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials, and it is therefore not likely suitable for an employee that may suffer from allergies to cannabis/plant pollen material, or experience other medical issues, such as asthma and hay fever, as a result of cannabis/plant material exposure.
