The Production Supervisor plays an integral role within our manufacturing facilities on the afternoon shift. You will be the coach on the playing field, providing leadership and guidance to our team members. You

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that employees are trained on proper equipment use in compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, MOL work orders, company safety policies, GMPs, and HACCP requirements, including all required documentationSupervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, safety, and production objectivesAssign employees, establish work priorities, and resolve operational issues to ensure efficient workflowOversee production activities to ensure implementation, verification, and compliance with GMP, HACCP, etc. in accordance with applicable legislation (i.e., Consumer Packaging and Labeling Act, Weights and Measures Act).Takes initiative and exercises timely and good judgment in day-to-day business decisions to drive efficiency.Reduction and elimination of workplace accidents. Assists in conducting accident investigations and takes an active role in WSIB case management, ensuring early and safe return of injured workers to modified and /or productive duties.Develops, directs, manages, trains, and motivates employees by clearly communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in a timely manner.Administration of company policies and proceduresRecognize, support, and commit to the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce waste in the manufacturing process.What You’ll Bring:
The successful candidate will possess a secondary school educationPrevious production experienceProven initiative and leadership skillsContinuous learner and willingness to embrace change while driving resultsExperience and commitment to Good Manufacturing PracticesGood verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural environment and the ability to address a variety of front-line employee relations issuesGood written communication skills with the ability to formulate emails to cross-functional teams within the organization, and complete necessary daily and ad hoc reportsGood math skills as it pertains to daily production countsAbility to problem solve while maintaining a willingness to take calculated risksStrong analytical skillsAbility to successfully use MS Office and other computer software application programs necessary for Maple Leaf OperationsWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:
