This Role is Day Shift: 6:45am – 2:45pm (M-F)

This is a United Steel Worker Union site

Responsibilities

Set and conduct tests on (Seat comfort and actuator components) samples following established procedures.

Document and analyze the test results and prepare detailed reports.

Handling and preparing test Samples and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Follow all safety guidelines, regulatory protocols, and standard procedures. Dispose of hazardous materials properly and maintain a clean work area.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing protocols align with product specifications, requirements and DVPRs.

Follow ISO/TS quality standards for documentation and traceability.

Preferred Skills

Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation:
The ability to accurately read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to assemble, install, and troubleshoot equipment.

Experience using a variety of diagnostic and testing instruments, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, tachometers, ammeters, and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).

Knowledge of automotive customer launch processes is an asset

Requirements:

High school or College Technology degree in mechanical, electronics, or mechatronics

1-2 years in automotive part testing, building or validaton.

Attention to Detail:
Meticulousness is crucial for ensuring accuracy in measurements, data recording, and assembly processes.

Communication and Computer

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with engineers and colleagues, as well as writing comprehensive reports.

MS Office (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is an asset.

Manual Dexterity:
The ability to use hand tools and manipulate small components with precision.

Teamwork and Independence:
The capacity to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
