Structural Digital Modeller

Job Description

A large consulting company with offices across South Africa working on large international projects is looking for a Structural Digital Modeller.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric or equivalent (National Diploma would be beneficial)

• Minimum of 3 or more years’ experience as a Structural Digital Modeller

• Revit is essential, as well as advanced coding skills such as Dynamo (Advantageous).

• Be familiar with delivering projects in the global commercial built environment. As such, you will proactively bring solutions that pushes our accuracy, quality, and data richness beyond current industry norms.

• Be an innovator, able to capitalise on technology advancements.

• Have the ability to use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a senior level.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drive the development of strategies to use digital engineering, e.g., to reduce the time and cost of delivery on projects (improve our efficiency in delivery), improve quality of deliverables and creation of standardised (digital) workflows.

• Deliver confident and quality digital value add to our clients.

• Co-ordinate and drive the digital development for yourself.

• Partner with our Client’s relevant digital delivery/development team members to ensure we remain up to speed with and influence their digital offerings.

• Assist with coaching younger modelers on delivering large projects. (Guiding, and teaching of younger modellers)

• Developing and complying with BIM execution plans, providing support, maintenance and extension of existing Revit add-ins, and AutoCAD add ins.
