Position OverviewWoolpert is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as full-time Trainee Geospatial Editors based in our Johannesburg and Cape Town office on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and project needs.
We are committed to developing young talent by providing hands-on experience with cutting-edge geospatial technologies in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Essential Functions- Basic geospatial digital map interpretation and editing, including daily processing / editing of geospatial data.
- Evaluate accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with applicable project and industry aerial mapping products standards.
- Assist more experienced technicians with various duties, maintenance, and other tasks.
- Responsible for following Quality Management Procedures as designed.
- Manage individual deadlines based on work tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Matric with Geography is required.
- Esri qualification will be added advantage.
- A National Diploma (completed or partially completed / dropped out) in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related technical field is required.
- First preference will be given to candidates with a completed or partially completed diploma and relevant coursework.
