We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Astronomical Instrument Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our data analyst / telescope operator team, leading the development and documentation of operating procedures, conducting and monitoring astronomical observations, and ensuring quality assurance of data.
About YouYou have an MSc in physics, astronomy, engineering, computing or related discipline with 4 years experience; alternatively, a BSc (Hons) in physics, astronomy, engineering, computing or related discipline with 5 years experience, or an undergraduate degree in physics, astronomy or related discipline with 6 years experience.
You possess strong leadership skills, excellent analytical capability, and well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English.
You have experience in leading a team, controlling and operating a scientific research instrument, and developing operational procedures.
You are proficient in scientific computing using Python, C or C++ in a Linux environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the performance of data analysts and telescope operators.
