VACANCY: Junior Industrial Engineer

REPORTING TO: Head of Department

The Junior Industrial Engineer will support the design, optimisation, and implementation of facility layouts, material‑flow processes, and equipment installations for large distribution centres. This role ensures efficient project delivery by combining technical analysis with cross‑functional collaboration, driving operational excellence and sustainable improvement.

• Develop and optimize facility layouts and material‑flow processes for large distribution centres.
• Conduct capacity analyses, throughput studies, and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, procurement, installation) to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Project management of industrial equipment installation.
• Manage and drive large scale procurement projects.
• Develop change management protocols for the customers during implementation phase.

• B.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience as industrial engineer.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SQL, Revit, or similar layout-design tools.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical teams.

• Experience in large-scale distribution or warehouse optimisation.
• Proficient in Python.

• Passion for data, design, and continuous learning.

• South African citizen.
• Valid passport.
• Clear credit, criminal, background record.
• Cape Town–based, willingness to travel if required to sites nationally / internationally
