Solid Edge Design Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems using Solid Edge (or Solid Works ) CAD software.

Oversee mechanical fabrication and assembly processes, including CNC machining and welding.

Collaborate with electrical assemblers and engineers to deliver complete machine solutions.

Manage and update company management systems and procurement systems (training provided).

Provide HR and administrative support as needed within the engineering office.

Independently handle design projects, liaising directly with clients and internal teams.

Present company portfolios to clients, assisting the sales team where required.

Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical engineering design, fabrication, and assembly; candidates with 2+ years experience may be considered if fully competent and able to work independently.

Proficient in Solid Edge; knowledge of Solid Works is an alternative.

Experience in mechanical fabrication, assembly, CNC machining, and welding.

Experience in an independent design office environment.

Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.

European passport is advantageous.

Sales experience is a plus, as the role involves client interactions.

Strong problem-solving and design-thinking capabilities.

Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to delivery.

Excellent communication and client liaison skills.

Actively engaged in the field with current practical experience.
