Job Description:
A leading quarry operation in Durbanville Hills is seeking a Technical Draughtsman with AutoCAD experience and knowledge of the building industry
. The role involves managing design communication, preparing layouts, and ensuring accurate production drawings for concrete slabs, beams, and staircases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage communication around designs and technical project details.
• Prepare measurement and preliminary layouts as needed.
• Develop and compile construction drawings for production.
• Design layouts for beams and staircases to meet project specifications.
• Create bending schedules and assist with additional design requirements.
• Order steel for stairs, beams, and other custom fabrication needs
  .
• Ensure all final layouts are accurate, efficient, and cost-effective for casting
  .
• Obtain written approval from clients and engineers for all designs.
• Ensure that engineers receive approved designs on time
  .
• Revise quotations
  before final orders and confirm acceptance before production.
• Monitor installation schedules and prioritize projects accordingly.
• Notify clients of any design modifications and the reasons behind them.
• Capture and verify slab layouts using Floor
  
  CAD software
  .
• Correspond with all relevant stakeholders to obtain necessary project information.

Requirements:

• Relevant AutoCAD qualifications
  and experience in construction drawings.
• Minimum 5 years of experience
  in a similar role.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle pressure and work efficiently within deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with FloorCAD
  would be advantageous.
