Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fire Engineer to join our Client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a specialization in fire protection systems. This individual will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining fire protection systems in buildings and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and engineer fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and smoke control systems.
2. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the best placement and design of fire protection systems.
3. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
4. Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations for fire protection systems.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance on fire protection codes, standards, and regulations.
6. Perform cost estimates and budgeting for fire protection system installations.
7. Conduct inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems.
9. Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to fire protection engineering.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on fire protection systems.
4. Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and ASTM.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Valid driver’s license.
