Data and Analytics, AWS Professional Services, South Africa

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services seeks a skilled Delivery Consultant to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customer technical requirements and business objectives.

• Work closely with customers to design, architect, and deploy complex, scalable, and secure AWS data and analytics solutions.
• Lead architecture workshops and customer engagements from pre‑sales through design, development, testing, and rollout.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and propose migration strategies to AWS.
• Provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to optimize performance and manage risk.
• Support data ingestion and analytics pipelines using Apache Spark, Spark
  
  SQL, Python, and Scala.
• Ensure solutions adhere to security and compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of cloud architecture experience designing and implementing solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with scalable data ingestion, transformation, and lake architectures.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Scala.
• 5+ years of direct customer interaction with data and analytics solution delivery.

• 3+ years of technical experience focused on AWS data services and integration with ML and Generative AI.
• Experience in vertical markets such as Financial Services, Telecom, Mining, and Retail.
• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Dev Ops Engineer Professional, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning and serverless technologies.
