Overview
Hire Resolve’s client in the Pharmaceutical Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Planning Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
Manage, lead, and drive the Supply S&OP and Reconciliation S&OP ProcessLead and manage relevant sales and operations execution meetings with suppliersManage, lead, develop, and build strong team relationships for a team of supply planners and logistics coordinators.Assess stock prioritization, pull forward, and deferral requests based on demand movements in conjunction with demand plannerAnalyse and propose stock-to-norm (STN) requirements for all SKU’sIdentify and review items with excess inventory and propose action planManage short-dated stock and drive demand shaping with Marketing and mitigation planning with the Commercial teamMinimise write-off costs on slow-moving stockPreparation of supply planning-related reports for monthly supplier engagement meetingsLeading Supply S&OP meetings and compiling and presenting presentation decksProvide reporting and root cause analysis monthly on excess and shortfall stock as well as key drivers to inventory forwardManage 3rd Party QA on post-importation testing (PIT)Provide reporting to the commercial team on PIT Results & QA release timelinesManage replenishment requirement views for maintaining STNProvide front-end feedback to the supply sites on the latest demand movementsCoordinate discussions with demand planners on the opportunities and risks regarding demand and supplyTrack stock supply point delivery vs actual, and conduct required follow-up to ensure service deliveryManage, support & coordinate the vendor coalitions within the Supply Chain Planning team in the efforts to ensure the supply security of products
Requirements:
Relevant Post Graduate Bachelors University qualification in Supply Chain Management (BComm), Logistics (BComm) or Engineering (BIng)8+ years of supply planning, supply chain analyticsMust have experience in managing peopleExposure to supply chain and S&OP is a mustExperience in Demand Planning including replenishment forecastingPrevious exposure to working with a statistical forecastPrevious experience in data analytics/scienceCPF or CPIMExperience in the FMCG/Pharmaceutical industriesStrong knowledge of exports/importsGood working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and BI PlatformsFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Training & DevelopmentPaid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
