Junior CNC Operator

Location: Somerset West
Salary: R10,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior CNC Operator to assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a mechanical mindset, a strong eye for detail, and a desire to grow in a technical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Load raw materials and run CNC programs to produce precision parts.
  • Quality Control: Perform visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings to guide machining.
  • Technical Support: Assist with machine setup, calibration, and minor maintenance.
  • Workplace Safety: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with supervisors and fellow operators to meet production goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of machining and CNC operations.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and a good communicator.
  • Experience: CNC Experienced, or has undergone an apprenticeship, trade course, or on-the-job training, is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic literacy to operate CNC interfaces.
