Our client in the City of Cape Town Western Cape is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Safety Business Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a food-related Diploma or Degree (such as Food Technology, Agriculture, Consumer Science or Microbiology) and 510 years experience managing a food safety management system. They should be accredited in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Internal Auditing and FSMS (Food Safety Management Systems) and possess an entrepreneurial mindset and be resilient and independent.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food safety management systems is required and occasional travel with possible overnight stays may be necessary. This person must be based in the City of Cape Town or the outskirts of Cape Town with easy access to our other regions (West Coast Winelands and Overberg areas).

Requirements
  • Passionate about food safety.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; resilient and independent.
  • Diploma or Degree in a food-related field such as Food Technology, Agriculture, Consumer Science or Microbiology.
  • Proven experience managing a food safety management system for 510 years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and food safety management systems.
  • Accredited in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • Accredited in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
  • Accredited in Internal Auditing.
  • Accredited in FSMS (Food Safety Management Systems).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally with possible overnight stays.
Duties
  • Training.
  • Consulting Auditing.
  • EO building.
  • Interviewing shortlisted candidates.
  • Mentoring and training consulting staff.
  • Client audit report QC check.
  • Drawing up project implementation plans.
  • Draft budget discussions and alterations.
  • Co‑ordinating and chairing weekly consultants meetings.
  • Monthly review meetings with Head Office.
  • Quarterly review meetings with Head Office.
  • Quarterly review meeting preparation.
  • Performance evaluation reviews of consulting staff.
Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
