Armed Response Officer

AM Security Services is recruiting ARMED RESPONSE OFFICERS to join our Public Safety Response team. This critical role has the responsibility to ensure that business environments and surroundings are patrolled to ensure the safety and security of our business communities and their customers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure quick and appropriate response to clients emergency calls
• Ensure visibility at standoff pints and during area patrols
• Ensure clients complaints are handled efficiently
• Ensure that the disciplinary code is adhered to at all times
• Ensure the safety of clients by checking premises thoroughly
• High standard of service must be upheld
• Expert knowledge about all facets pertaining to your position
• Attend to all meetings and training sessions
• Keep vehicle neat and tidy at all times
• Assist with any problems or complaints
• Officers are required to submit comprehensive reports and feedback as requested
• Complete daily/weekly/check list
• Officer must stand off at delegated places during peak hours
• Help residents by advising and assigning possible security risks
• Follow up with clients after incidences and offer assistance
• Perform public relations service and introduction calls to new clients

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Psira Grade C (Renewed)
• Grade 11/12
• Valid Driver's license.
• Live in the surrounding areas of Strand, Somerset West or Stellenbosch
• Firearm Competency – Handgun, Shotgun and Carbine Rifle (Business Purpose)
• Armed Response Certificate
• Statement of Results for firearms training received (SASSETA/PFTC)
• Experience working as an Armed Response Officer
• Candidates must be prepared to undergo Fitness and Firearm proficiency assessments
• Excellent verbal & written communication.
• Neat and Presentable
• No Criminal Record
