Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Software Engineer in Cape Town will include:
Develop high-quality, standardized solutions using OOP, TDD, BDD, FDD, SDLC, Coding Standards, and Continuous IntegrationCollaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersPropose and implement efficient business and technical strategiesDesign flexible, scalable software anticipating future requirementsCommunicate issues, risks, and dependencies, escalating when necessaryParticipate in agile ceremonies and contribute to task breakdownFacilitate understanding of technical requirements within the teamDocument solutions and support team documentation effortsMentor team members and conduct peer reviewsTrack time accurately and meet sprint commitmentsContribute to planning, discussions, and solution designsSupport line managers and provide accurate progress reportsRequirements for this Senior Software Engineer job in Cape Town:
Effectively communicate complex topics across all organizational levelsSimplify technical concepts for developers and business stakeholdersProficient in UML for modelingExperienced in the latest JDK LTS, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Boot, Spring Web, and IntelliJSkilled in Maven for multi-module environments and Git for collaborative developmentFamiliarity with cloud technologies, especially GKE K8s and ArgoCDKnowledge of front-end technologies like VueJS, Angular, and TypescriptProficient in debugging, refactoring, and optimization using IntelliJExperienced in Git branch management and CI/CD with GitlabFamiliar with cloud observability, scaling, and alerting mechanismsFront-end proficiency with VueJS, Angular, and testing frameworks
