- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and deliver on business requirements.
- Design, develop and maintain scalable and robust software solutions using Agile best practices.
- Continuously improve development processes and practices to enhance team productivity and product quality.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate developers, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment.
- Stay informed with new technologies and best practices and industry trends.
- Problem‑solve and resolve technical issues and provide solutions that align with business needs.
- Lead projects and manage project deliverables, communicating with business stakeholders.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in code and systems.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow in areas outside of core development.
- Research new technology used in the financial sector.
- Develop prototype systems to test and prove new technology.
- Make recommendations of technology and vendors that can supply and support that technology, as well as the use cases in which they can be used.
- Maintain and share a knowledge base of financial technology, trends and news for the group.
- Where bespoke applications are required, develop those applications to assist the treasury functions in the bank.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in BCom,
B.Eng., BSC Eng, BSc Information or an IT related degree. - Have a minimum of 3+ years of proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role.
- Be an expert in front‑end development languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML5 and CSS.
- Have expertise in C#, ASP.NET, MVC and other relevant technologies.
- Have experience with database design and optimization, e.g. SQL Server, Entity Framework.
- Have experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Pipelines and Octopus.
- Have a strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns and best practices.
- Have previous experience with CMS/XMS systems as well as ETL tools and associated systems, which is advantageous.
- Have strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills.
