Tax Assistant Manager (OMB Focus)

Overview: Join our dynamic tax team as an Assistant Manager, specialising in the provision of tax compliance and advisory services to owner‑managed businesses (OMBs) across a range of sectors. You will play a key role in supporting directors and partners, leading client engagements, and developing bespoke solutions for complex personal and corporate tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of OMB clients, delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services.
• Assist in the delivery of projects involving tax planning, profit extraction, succession, and restructuring for OMBs.
• Oversee and review the work of junior team members, providing coaching and technical support.
• Liaise directly with clients to build strong relationships and address queries promptly.
• Work collaboratively across departments to identify and deliver cross‑service opportunities.
• Stay up to date with evolving tax legislation relevant to OMBs.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Strong track record working with owner‑managed businesses in a UK professional services setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and client relationship skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly from Cheltenham or Cardiff offices, with some travel as required.
