An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the Cardiac Physiology Team based at the University Hospital of Wales.
The focus of the role will be providing Reception Services and being the first point of contact for both telephone and direct enquiries.

Main duties of the jobYou will need to have a comprehensive understanding of reception duties and administrative work, strong organisational skills including an eye for detail and proficient experience of using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The ability to prioritise your workload, process enquiries in a confidential and timely manner and to work effectively in a busy environment with a fast-paced work turnaround is essential for this role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
- GCSE grades C or equivalent in Maths and English
- NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Customer Service or equivalent or willing to work towards
- Previous reception or similar experience
- Experience of working in the NHS or healthcare environment
- Knowledge of PMS, D&T operating systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Organisational skills
- Understanding of Referral to Treatment Targets for Cardiac Diagnostic Services
- Understanding of Data Protection and maintaining strictest confidentiality
- Abilitiy to work individually and as part of team
- Calm under pressure
- Friendly, empathetic and approachable manner
- Able to travel to other UHB sites to provide office cover in a timely manner
- Flexible approach to the service
- Commitment to provide a high quality service
- Ability to speak Welsh
