Water Data & Systems Lead – BUUK Infrastructure

Purpose of this roleA champion of all elements of the water business data, providing governance, consistency and hands‑on delivery of initiatives and improvements across all three units within the water business. Works closely with BUUK Business Intelligence as a local super‑user, turning good ideas into action.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Champion maintenance and improvement of local team databases to align with parent‑level data, ensuring a single version of the truth within water.
- Cleanse data, retire legacy Excel spreadsheets and replace them with aligned SharePoint list databases.
- Propose and implement system improvements aligned with CJFG/corporate level initiatives.
- Administer and create Power BI dashboards and databases.
- Manage key IWNL business changes through the Customer Journey Focus Group process.
- Own Water Data strategy.
- Own monthly Power BI reporting.
- Own data sources needed for regulatory returns (Ofwat & DWI).
- HNC or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of current industry processes, procedures, legislation and regulatory data needs relating to last‑mile water and wastewater networks.
- Highly analytical with problem‑solving skills.
- Experience liaising and working with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Proven track record of delivering and scaling operational processes.
- Passion for continuous improvement using software and automation to enable scaling of existing processes for long‑term business model efficiency.
- Working towards professional qualification.
- Data visualisation skills and understanding of data analytics tools.
- Understanding of current regulatory frameworks of the water industry.
- Experience mapping and delivering customer‑focused journey plans.
- Experience with SharePoint / Power BI / Automation software.
- Experience liaising with contractors, incumbents and developers to develop external facing interfaces.
Standby rota participation required.
