Bid Manager, Business

About The Role

As a Bid Manager within our Business Development team, you’ll manage the bid process from startto finish, while also producing high-quality written content for both publicand private sector opportunities.

You’llbe responsible for drafting, editing and coordinating bid responses, ensuring theyare compelling, accurate and aligned with client requirements.

Working closely with Legal,HR, Finance and Operations teams, you’ll handle multiple bids simultaneously,maintaining a strong focus on detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

• Proactively monitor tender portals daily, identifying new opportunities and early market engagement prospects.
• Contribute to the completion ofSQ/PQQ and onboarding documents.
• In collaboration with the Content Writer create, edit and refine engaging content that maintains aconsistent tone and aligns with brand guidelines.
• Lead the qualification processand coordinate all tender related activities, including proposals,presentations, and negotiations.
• Act as a Bidding Coach,providing advice and guidance to colleagues across the firm, with input intoour social value strategy.
• Partner with the Head of Bids& Tenders to developed targeted win strategies.
• Analyse bid performance, collate feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Generate MI reports, track tender activity, and recommend process improvements.

• APMP Foundation Certificate is advantageous.
• Proven experience in bid processes within both the public and private sectors.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A passion for driving continuous improvement and enhancing bid processes.
• Experience in developing and writing compelling content, particularly in areas such as social value delivery.
• A solid understanding ofprompt engineering for generative AI tools to help drive efficiency across bid management tasks, content creation, tone adjustment and task automation.
