This is a full-time on-site role located in Cardiff for a Road Construction Operative. The Road Construction Operative will be responsible for executing various road and surface construction tasks, including preparing construction sites, spreading and compacting asphalt, operating construction machinery, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications, as well as maintaining equipment to high standards of functionality and safety.

• Practical skills in asphalt surfacing, road construction, and operating construction machinery
• Ability to interpret project plans, site layouts, and safety procedures
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction environments
• Teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively on-site
• Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding conditions
• Experience in similar roles within the civil engineering or construction industry is beneficial
• Valid driving license is an advantage
