Our BBC Tours and public engagement events typically take place on site at BBC Cymru Wales Central Square, Cardiff, and includes occasional evening and weekend work, and a limited amount of travel around Wales.
Our team is a vibrant mix of creatives, including actors, presenters, content creators and storytellers, united by a shared belief in the power of public service broadcasting.
We’re passionate about creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. We believe in supporting each other to reach our full potential and in fostering an environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACTAs a Production apprentice, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn, grow and contribute – you could be:
- Every week you’ll work behind the scenes of a live broadcast centre in Cardiff supporting the planning, promotion and delivery of BBC Tours and public engagement events.
- During the summer months you will have the opportunity to support BBC Wales at major events across Wales.
- You’ll gain valuable experience, develop your skills, and start making an impact with our audiences and partners.
- You will support BBC Wales to maintain an open door to the public, give audiences fantastic experiences, and make sure everybody is welcome, and everybody matters.
You’ll be learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBC, you’ll also attend learning blocks (a week or two at a time) with our learning provider, working towards an industry recognised qualification, Level 3 Diploma in Digital and Creative Media. Learning blocks will be delivered in person.
