Join to apply for the Senior Policy Manager - Gas Security of Supply role at Ofgem.
Britain’s energy system is changing rapidly, and ensuring gas remains secure, affordable and resilient has never been more important. Ofgem is looking for a Senior Policy Manager to help shape how gas supply is maintained today, while supporting the transition to Net Zero in the years ahead.
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.
We’re offering a full‑time, permanent opportunity to work in a highly topical and nationally significant area of work where there is real impact for consumers. Operating at the centre of one of Ofgem’s most high‑profile policy challenges, you’ll contribute to work that spans security of supply, wholesale markets and system operation, helping inform decisions that affect households, businesses and communities across Great Britain.
You’ll have the chance to influence thinking on complex, fast‑moving issues where evidence, judgment and long‑term perspective are critical. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced environment where your contribution will help shape credible pathways that support both consumer protection and system resilience.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience of energy systems and markets across GB and Europe, as well as globally, who can grasp the issues across multiple stakeholders and parties and create enterprising solutions. You’ll need a track record of developing strategic priorities and communicating them effectively across channels and work streams throughout the energy industry.
You’ll be adept at working at pace, delivering projects to challenging deadlines and working with an array of professionals to provide complex solutions.
In return, you’ll discover working options that fit around you, an outstanding rewards package and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop whilst tackling some of the most important challenges facing the energy system today. We’ll prioritise your professional development, putting you front and centre and allowing you the freedom to take your career in the direction you want to go.
We have a critical purpose to ensure gas security supports a fair, resilient and net‑zero energy system. Join us and help shape decisions that will influence Britain’s energy future.
