Our Energy Networks business, led by Mark, is home to over two hundred talented people ranging from early career professionals to established engineers and project managers. We work throughout the UK and beyond in the Offshore, Onshore Electricity Transmission, and Distribution markets to keep the lights on. As part of the team, you will collaborate with TNOs, DNOs, contractors, and developers to plan, design, and deliver new customer connections and network reinforcements, ensuring infrastructure is ready for green investment and new technologies.
We are particularly interested in applicants with previous experience in Project Management, Design, or System Network Planning for UK Distribution and/or Transmission companies.
Positions Available Include- OHL Project Managers & Design Engineers (Experience of Wood Pole and/or Towers)
- Cable Project Managers & Cable Design Engineers
- Substation Plant & Equipment Project Managers & Design Engineers
- Control & Protection Design Engineers
- Primary Design Engineers
- System Network Planning Engineers
- Project Management involving the delivery of CAPEX and Customer connection projects at voltages from 11kV to 400kV from initiation through closure.
- OHL Tower and Wood Pole design with PLS‑Cadd, Pole and Tower experience.
- Design of both AIS & GIS substations up to 400kV.
- Knowledge of engineering standards for EHV Plant, substations (including earthing and electrical clearances).
- Undertake the role of ‘Designer’ and ‘Principal Designer’ under the CDM regulations.
- Ability to design EHV substations with CAD systems and use a document control system.
- Interpret technical documentation relating to the design of electrical substations.
- Network system design and planning, including technical and cost assessment of options.
- Electrical system design and protection setting calculations.
- Distribution and Transmission Authorisations, in particular TP(BP)141.
