A well-established and respected planning and design consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join its expanding team in either Cardiff or Bristol.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering a range of high-profile development and regeneration projects helping to create sustainable and well-designed places across the region.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of planning projects from early feasibility to submission and determination
• Prepare planning applications assessments appeals and policy representations
• Conduct site appraisals research and planning strategy work
• Provide high-quality planning advice to clients partners and stakeholders
• Engage with local authorities community groups and statutory consultees
• Mentor and support junior planners within the team
• Assist with business development proposal writing and client relationship management

• MRTPI qualified or working towards full chartered status
• Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and local planning policy
• Demonstrated experience in either planning consultancy or local authority planning
• Excellent communication report writing and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage projects independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Organised proactive and commercially minded
