Are you a Civil Project Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a major AMP8 framework delivering essential water and wastewater infrastructure across South Wales. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team shaping projects that directly improve resilience, sustainability, and service for local communities.
About the Role
As a Civil Project Engineer, you’ll support the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of water sector projects — from treatment works upgrades to pipelines, pumping stations, and major civils structures. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers, and project managers, taking ownership of technical tasks and contributing to successful project outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong civil engineering foundation who’s ready to broaden their responsibilities and grow within a high‑performing framework environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and review of civil engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support project planning, coordination, and delivery across design and construction phases.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, ICA, and environmental specialists.
• Contribute to site assessments, surveys, and construction support activities.
• Help manage subcontractors, suppliers, and design partners.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, H&S requirements, and quality standards.
• Participate in risk reviews, value engineering exercises, and technical workshops.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and project documentation.
• Provide technical input during commissioning and handover stages.
About You
• Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in the water industry or similar infrastructure sectors (desirable but not essential if you have strong civils experience).
• Understanding of civil design principles for structures, pipelines, earthworks, or water‑related assets.
• Familiarity with design tools and standards (e.g., AutoCAD, Civils 3D, British Standards).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, organised, and eager to develop your technical and project delivery capabilities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South Wales.
What’s on Offer
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• Clear progression pathway within a major AMP8 framework.
• Exposure to a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
• Supportive team environment with mentoring and professional development opportunities.
• Flexible and hybrid working options
