SCADA Engineer Register Interest

Position: SCADA Engineer (Contract) | Register Your Interest

Salary: Competitive day rate depending on experience

Contract length: 12 to 18 month contracts

Mint Selection is speaking with experienced SCADA Engineers ahead of upcoming contract requirements on solar PV, BESS and substation projects. These roles connect inverters, protection, metering and power plant controllers into a single monitored and controllable system, and they stay involved until the site is accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure and integrate SCADA and power plant control systems for renewable and substation projects
• Develop communications architecture and point lists, and integrate RTUs, gateways, inverters, protection and metering
• Support factory and site acceptance testing of control systems
• Maintain alarm and event lists, point databases and technical documentation

Experience &

Qualifications:

• Previous SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy, power generation or utility environments
• Working knowledge of protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus and IEC 60870-5-104
• Experience with power plant controllers and grid compliance control requirements
• Familiarity with cyber security considerations for operational technology
• Relevant engineering qualification advantageous
